National Parks Free Entrance Day

Come experience the national parks! On six days in 2024, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2024:

Join the Museum of Chincoteague Island, 7125 Maddox Boulevard, for a lecture by Chris Hein, researcher from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, on 'A Geologic Perspective on Today's Sea Level Rise' on April 20 at 6pm.

Admission is $8 or free with museum membership. Call 757-336-6117 to reserve your seat, as space is limited.

Join the Delmarva Discovery Museum, 2 Market Street, Pocomoke City, MD on Saturday, April 20 from 6:30pm - 8pm for The Story of the Pocomoke. 

Take a journey through time with Chesapeake Storyteller, Joe Paden, and learn about the history of our the Pocomoke! Joe will present maps, records, photos, and more to give you a story you will never forget!

Join the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance, 6309 Church Street, for a new event for 2024 - Island Concert Stage!

Formerly known as the Coffee House, Island Concert Stage will be held on the third Saturday of the month from April through October. Enjoy live music in an intimate setting featuring genres from Classical to Bluegrass, Rock and Folk.

Performances begin at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children 12 and under - pay with cash only at the door. 

There is a cash bar with beer, wine and soft drinks.

Chamber Music - Patagonia Winds - Wind Quintet • Opening Act: Ed Baca - Cello
A professional ensemble known to D.C., Maryland and Virginia audiences for its dynamic programming that the whole family can enjoy. Featuring Christopher McFarlane on bassoon, who has performed before at CCA to rave reviews. 

May 4
Special Event - Callum - Singer/Songwriter's Spring Tour Concert • Opening Act: Jeremiah Coyne - Singer/Songwriter
CCA welcomes back this amazing young talent who recently performed at the SXSW Festival in Austin and the Bitter End in New York City. She is nominated in multiple categories for 2024 International Singer Songwriter Awards. (You can vote for her here). She'll be joined by Jeremiah Coyne, another great young singer songwriter, as the opening act.

Annual Tribute Concert - Music of the Grateful Dead played by many local musicians
Each May, CCA presents a tribute concert featuring many local musicians. This time they'll be playing songs from one of the greatest rock bands of all time!
